I wish I could have taken some fruit to go but I understand, it's a buffet. My only reason for giving 4 and not 5 stars is that I am a vegan and wished they had tofu (like another hotel we stayed at off the strip) so the breakfast was not worth $21.95 for me. The pancakes were delicious! Very fluffy and not cold. The guy making omelettes made me sautéed veggies (mushrooms, spinach onions etc), he even went out of his way to find some garlic for me :) I had that with their pancakes. As a vegan, it is always challenging finding food outside my house. I really enjoyed sitting outside because of the view-a mini waterfall and palm trees. The restaurant was nice and included an out-door dining area. The buffet cost $21.95 which I found high but did not complain since it was our first time in Vegas and trying out buffets. We would have stopped to gamble but did not have time. While walking to the buffet restaurant in the back, I noticed the casino was clean, well-lit (unlike other casinos around the area), and did not have that smokey casino odor. I really liked the tropical feel of the hotel. While staying at Excalibur, we asked around for good places to eat breakfast at and was referred to Tropicana.
